Job description

We are seeking a Production Control Manager, on-site role in Columbus, OH. You will own production planning and control across a high-paced manufacturing operation—building and maintaining production schedules, managing inventory and supplier performance, enforcing data accuracy, and ensuring on‑time, quality delivery. You will lead administrators, balance departmental workloads, and drive continuous improvement across supply chain planning, ERP utilization, and model launch/build‑out support.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize production schedules to meet customer demand and delivery deadlines
  • Implement and maintain inventory control measures to minimize waste and reduce costs
  • Enforce company policies, business plans, and budget targets within the production control function
  • Supervise and train Production Control Administrators and other relevant staff
  • Oversee associate relations responsibilities within the department
  • Balance department workloads to ensure efficient throughput and resource utilization
  • Own end-to-end supply chain planning, including forecasting and release methods/accuracy to suppliers
  • Manage and improve supplier delivery performance and on-time reliability
  • Ensure accurate PPC data maintenance and integrity within the ERP/database
  • Provide timely production control support for new model introductions and build‑out activity
  • Monitor KPIs and drive corrective actions for schedule adherence, inventory turns, and service levels
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with operations, quality, procurement, and engineering to resolve constraints
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment working with an ERP system
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Proven ability to meet strict deadlines while managing multiple concurrent tasks
  • Demonstrated strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Self‑motivated leader with strong team leadership and staff development capabilities
  • Experience with production scheduling, MRP/ERP planning, and inventory control best practices
  • Track record of managing supplier delivery performance and release/forecast accuracy
  • Strong communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills
