The Role:

The Production Control Manager leads a team responsible for efficient scheduling and execution of manufacturing activities to meet production and customer requirements. This role partners closely with Procurement and Planning to ensure material availability, maintain inventory accuracy, and support uninterrupted production. Additionally, the position oversees warehouse operations, including inbound and outbound logistics, while driving continuous improvement and operational efficiency.

What You Will Do:

  • Develop methods, practices, and techniques to ensure efficient, cost-effective movement of materials through the supply chain while meeting customer delivery requirements.
  • Monitor key supply chain performance metrics (e.g., attainment, material availability, inventory accuracy, schedule efficiency) and implement strategies to optimize plant and product line performance.
  • Develop and execute short- and long-term plans aligned with departmental and operational strategies.
  • Support and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Build and maintain effective cross-functional relationships with internal support teams.
  • Monitor production schedules, forecasts, and inventory; adjust plans to meet production requirements.
  • Assess material requirements for schedule changes and confirm availability; communicate updates to planning and procurement teams.
  • Identify at-risk materials and collaborate with Procurement and Planning to develop timely mitigation actions.
  • Track overdue and at-risk materials, following up with stakeholders to ensure uninterrupted production supply.
  • Proactively investigate and help resolve material shortages in coordination with Procurement and Planning.
  • Monitor and resolve inventory discrepancies to maintain accuracy within assigned categories.
  • Analyze data and prepare reports to support decision-making and recommend improvements.
  • Lead annual physical inventory and oversee daily/monthly cycle count programs.
  • Manage, coach, and develop direct reports; set goals and monitor performance.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures (e.g., EEO, harassment prevention, safety, quality).
  • Conduct performance reviews; manage scheduling and time-off planning for warehouse and logistics personnel.

What You Will Bring:

  • 5+ years of cross-functional experience in a Materials/Supply Chain leadership position
  • CPG experience is a must
  • Proven experience with Continuous Improvement is a plus (i.e. Lean, Six Sigma, TPM)
  • Ability to resolve manufacturing issues using Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) methodologies
  • Proven leadership and project management capabilities in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong prioritization and execution skills in a fast-paced setting
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization
  • Effective presentation skills
  • Ability to coach and mentor individuals and teams
  • Demonstrates integrity, ethics, and trustworthiness in leadership
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (Syspro experience is a plus)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
