Job description

Position Overview

Seeking a Test Engineer to support the EA4 Powertrain Control Unit department, focusing on validation and testing of engine controllers, battery management systems, and hybrid (HEV) control units. This role is responsible for ensuring proper system communication and functionality within the vehicle—not calibration or tuning.

The position follows the V-model development process and requires experience in electrical hardware validation, software/system integration, and network communications.



Key Responsibilitie

  • sDevelop and execute test plans and procedures to evaluate powertrain control systems and component
  • sPerform validation testing for engine controllers, battery management systems, and HEV control unit
  • sEnsure proper communication, signal integrity, and functional outputs within vehicle system
  • sCreate data settings, test specifications, standards, and schedule
  • sPrepare and set up test equipment (including oscilloscopes and data acquisition tools
  • )Conduct moderately complex testing and document results, conclusions, and observation
  • sVerify testing accuracy and determine if additional testing is require
  • dAnalyze and interpret test results to predict performance and potential failure mode
  • sProvide product/design data and recommend improvements based on analysi
  • sIdentify issues, develop countermeasures, and propose design change
  • sCommunicate findings through written reports and formal presentation
  • sSupport project assignments within FICU or TCU area
