At Residence Design Build Remodel, our installers deliver high-quality craftsmanship and exceptional customer service on every project. The Kitchen & Bath Installer plays a key role in transforming our clients’ homes with attention to detail, professionalism, and pride in workmanship.
Primary Responsibilities
Demolition & Site Preparation
- Protect floors, walls, and adjacent areas before work begins
- Perform selective demolition of kitchens, bathrooms, and related spaces
- Remove cabinets, countertops, fixtures, flooring, drywall, and trim
- Load and dispose of debris in dumpsters or trailers
- Maintain a clean and organized job site throughout the project
Carpentry & Installation
- Install kitchen and bathroom cabinetry, including custom and semi-custom products
- Install trim, moldings, fillers, panels, and hardware
- Install interior doors, pocket doors, and other finish carpentry elements
- Frame walls, soffits, niches, and structural modifications as directed
- Install backing and blocking for vanities, accessories, and glass
Drywall & Surface Preparation
- Hang, tape, and finish drywall
- Patch walls and ceilings after demolition or modifications
- Prepare surfaces for paint, tile, and finish materials
Tile Installation
- Install floor and wall tile, backsplashes, shower surrounds, and shower pans
- Mix and apply thinset and grout
- Waterproof shower systems using approved methods and materials
- Ensure proper layout, spacing, and finishing details
Flooring Installation
- Install LVP, engineered hardwood, and tile flooring
- Prepare subfloors, including leveling and underlayment
Fixture & Finish Installation
- Install vanities, mirrors, accessories, and shower doors
- Install cabinet hardware and decorative elements
- Coordinate with plumbers and electricians for final fixture installation
Material Handling & Logistics
- Receive and inspect deliveries for damage and accuracy
- Organize and stage materials on site
- Perform store runs to pick up tools and materials as needed
- Notify project managers of missing or damaged items
Quality Control
- Ensure all work meets Residence Design Build Remodel quality standards
- Review completed work for accuracy and finish quality
- Correct deficiencies promptly
Customer Service
- Maintain a courteous and professional demeanor with clients
- Respect clients’ homes and personal property
- Communicate progress and concerns to the project manager
Safety & Compliance
- Follow OSHA and company safety procedures
- Operate tools and equipment safely
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with designers, project managers, and subcontractors
- Mentor apprentices and installer assistants when appropriate
- Participate in problem-solving and field adjustments
General Expectations
- Arrive on time and prepared for each workday
- Maintain a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Keep company tools and equipment in good working order
