Job description

Role Description:

We are looking for a dedicated Plumbing Apprentice to assist our licensed Plumber while improving their own skills. The responsibilities of a Plumbing Apprentice include assisting the Plumber, handling tools, and cleaning job sites. The Plumbing Apprentice can expect to assist in complex jobs and handle smaller jobs on their own. A successful Plumbing Apprentice will be well-organized and detail-oriented. You should have good customer service skills, be able and willing to follow instructions, and be prepared to travel to clients' homes to complete your work.


What Winning Looks Like:

  • Adept at using the basic tools of the trade.
  • Locating and identifying leaks.
  • Repairing or replacing pipes and parts under supervision.
  • Assist with installation, repair, and maintenance of pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures in commercial and residential structures.
  • Learn how to follow building plans and blueprints.
  • Learn how to perform routine inspections of plumbing and drainage systems.
  • Learning how to determine the right tools and equipment necessary to successfully complete a job.
  • Actively learning federal, state, and local plumbing codes to assist Plumber with compliance. 
  • Cleaning the job site after the work is completed.
  • Learning how to answer client queries.
  • Following the Plumbers' direction and instructions.
  • Learning how to effectively anticipate customer needs and providing empathy for their scenario.
  • Learn how to collaborate with general contractors, electricians, and other construction professionals.
  • Keep service vehicles clean, stocked with material and proper paperwork.
  • Keep accurate records of time spent working, description of work performed and materials used.
  • Excelling as an apprentice by always staying multiple steps ahead of the task at hand. 
  • Willingness to assist where needed within the company. 
  • Taking ownership of your role and constantly seeking areas for improvement.
  • Having a “serve”-minded, problem-solving mindset, and providing regular feedback to Team Leads.

Requirements: 

  • High School Diploma or GED Certificate
  • Maryland Plumbing Apprentice License
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Vocational training may be advantageous
  • Willingness to learn on the job, go through training, and earn a qualification as a Plumber


Schedule: 

Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week. 

On-site in Williamsport, MD.
