The Electrical Engineer is responsible for the end-to-end design and implementation of electrical systems for custom specialty vehicles. This role includes the development of technical drawings, equipment specifications, system programming, and coordination with production teams to ensure that all electrical components meet customer requirements and comply with applicable codes and standards. The Electrical Engineer will work closely with in-house electricians, fabricators, and external clients to support project success from design through final delivery.

Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Develop detailed electrical system drawings and component specifications using AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
  • Design and document electrical layouts for systems including power distribution, AV, IT/networking, and low-voltage battery systems.
  • Ensure all electrical work meets regulatory codes, safety standards, and specific customer requirements.
  • Program, test, and validate installed systems to ensure full functionality.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during and after installation.
  • Collaborate with electricians, fabricators, and project stakeholders to ensure technical accuracy and feasibility.
  • Maintain clear, professional communication with internal teams and customers throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
QualificationsQualifications and Skills
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks.
  • Working knowledge of residential/commercial wiring, AV systems, IT/networking infrastructure, and low-voltage power systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interface with both technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
