Job description

The person in this position provides consultation to clients, family members and vocational rehabilitation service providers in understanding and utilizing Social Security Work Incentives. This position provides valuable support and information on benefit systems to assist clients in making informed choices regarding work and vocational services.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide consultation to consumers, family members and other professionals regarding Social Security work incentives.
  • Analyze regulations and statutes and determine how they can be applied on behalf of individuals with disabilities.
  • Provide linkage to the Social Security Administration and Job and Family Services offices, as needed.
  • Document and maintain all required paperwork within required timeframes.
  • Minimum of AA/BA required; CWIC certification a plus. 
  • Experience with SPMI and/or SUD population preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Knowledge of community resources and healthcare services.
  • Will need to pass Federal background check for Social Security Suitability.
  • Valid driver's license and insurance.
