About the Role
As the
Assistant Restaurant Manager, you'll partner closely with the Operations Manager to lead day-to-day operations across our full-service restaurant, lounge, and in-room dining. You'll play a key role in delivering outstanding guest experiences while helping drive operational excellence and team performance.
This is a hands-on leadership role where no two days are the same-perfect for someone who enjoys mentoring others, solving challenges in real time, and making a direct impact on both guests and team members.
What You'll Do
- Lead and inspire a large team of Ohio State student employees, fostering a positive, inclusive, and high-performing work environment
- Support daily operations across the restaurant, lounge, and in-room dining to ensure seamless service and consistency
- Deliver exceptional guest experiences, handling feedback and concerns with professionalism and care
- Collaborate with culinary leadership to exceed guest expectations and elevate the dining experience
- Drive operational excellence through scheduling, payroll oversight, training, and performance management
- Maintain high standards of service, cleanliness, safety, and sustainability
- Contribute to financial success, ensuring operations run efficiently and profitably

This role requires flexibility to meet the needs of a 24/7 hospitality operation, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- 4 years of relevant experience
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree in hospitality or related field
- 6+ years of relevant experience

Additional Information:
The target hiring range for this job profile is $ 17.50 - $22.86. The actual hourly rate paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to, education, years of experience, internal equity, etc.
