Physician Administrator 2 CRC (Psychiatrist)
The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction (ODRC) is searching for a board-eligible or board-certified physician in psychiatry to work part-time or full-time on site at the Correctional Reception Center (CRC). The selected psychiatrist will treat a caseload of male patients alongside another psychiatrist as well as psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioners as part of a comprehensive multi-disciplinary treatment team.
Job Description
What You'll Do:
- Work collaboratively with intra and interdepartmental staff to administer treatment for behavioral health patients utilizing nationally recognized treatment standards and documenting utilizing an electronic health record system
- Conduct exams and write evaluations and reports
- Order and interpret diagnostic testing
- Manage medication
- Make referrals for specialized care or treatment
- Perform duties in accordance with scope of practice, ODRC policies, procedures, protocols, and related American Correctional Association standards
- Participate in continuous quality improvement meetings and activities, including peer reviews
- Provide or share responsibilities of institutional 24-hour on-call as needed

Qualifications
Certificate to practice medicine in state of Ohio as issued by State Medical Board pursuant to Section 4731.14 & 4731.281 of Revised Code.
