Job description

Capital University seeks passionate and dynamic educators for part-time adjunct instructor positions in the School of Education beginning in Fall 2026. Areas of need include social studies content, language arts content, science content, and general education courses.
The successful candidates will be expected to teach undergraduate courses aligned with their content expertise for Fall 2026 and potentially Spring 2027. Students in these courses will include pre-service teachers. There may also be opportunities to teach additional courses within the School of Education and University Signature Learning program offerings.
Qualified candidates will have a master's degree or higher in a relevant field at the time of appointment, with a preference for those holding a doctoral degree or significant professional experience in K-12 education or related settings. Applicants must demonstrate evidence of excellence in teaching. Preference will be given to candidates who incorporate evidence-based and culturally responsive teaching practices in their classrooms.
