The Ohio State University College of Dentistry (CoD) Revenue Cycle Services (RCS) is seeking a Patient Revenue Cycle Lead Coordinator to join its Patient Financial Services (PFS) team. The PFS team manages billing and collection of patient accounts for all of the CoD outpatient clinics.
The Ohio State University's College of Dentistry is the first state-supported dental school in Ohio and consists of eleven academic divisions representing all major dental specialties. Our divisions offer both patient care services and academic programs, allowing dentists to train as specialists. Also, our Outreach and Engagement activities include over 60 active programs and more than 40 extra mural sites, which continue to expand. The College of Dentistry provides comprehensive patient care in an unparalleled learning environment with internationally recognized faculty and a supportive network of alumni and friends. In addition, our research programs provide students another dimension beyond classroom and clinical education. Students and faculty members participate in both clinical and laboratory research in areas such as dental materials science, oral and maxillofacial pathology, hard tissue biology, microbiology, neuroscience, and immunology.
The Patient Revenue Cycle Lead Coordinator functions as a key member of the College of Dentistry (CoD) Revenue Cycle Services Team. This lead position is primarily responsible for overseeing the back-end Revenue Cycle activities (Ex.: charge review, billing, follow-up, denial management, claims, claim vendor, cash reconciliation, banking interactions, 835 processing, bad debt, payer interactions, grievance management, and customer service.
The targeted hiring pay range is $19.28 - $25.19, based on experience and education.
Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:30pm
Required Screenings:
This position requires successful completion of a criminal background check and drug and alcohol screening.
Physical Requirements:
Candidate must be able to push / pull carts containing office supplies, bend / stretch / twist to pick up supplies, maintain office appearance, stand and walk for periods of time serving and assisting customers.

Required:
High School diploma or GED. 4 years of relevant experience required such as Dental/Medical Office front desk, operations, scheduling, and or billing experience, Proven experience guiding and coordinating workflow, showing initiative to assist on large projects through indirect management of staff, proven ability to communicate effectively with higher levels of leadership, and make independent decisions, and or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Desired:
6-10 years of relevant experience plus knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) software; very detailed oriented with developed organizational skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills; a high level of proficiency using Microsoft Office in a business environment; ability to complete appropriate correspondence to maintain patient communication; self-motivated individual capable of making informed decisions independently; open to develop and create on-going process improvements; working as a team member and has high level of emotional intelligence; able to develop positive working relationships with a diverse population; creates and analyzes patient data with a high level of accuracy. Previous experience in training and/or business office operations preferred.
