Job description

Registered Nurse - Progressive Care Unit

Shift: 3x12s, Nights Weekend coverage required; rotation for holidays.

Requirements:

  • 1 year of PCU (progressive care) experience required
  • Cardiac/telemetry experience preferred
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Epic charting system experience required
  • Valid compact or state license in hand at the time of submission

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Provide patient care for adults and geriatrics in a progressive care unit.
  • Monitor cardiac telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias.
  • Start IVs and manage peripheral, PICC, and central lines.
  • Administer blood products, follow heparin and insulin protocols.
  • Manage post-operative care for cardiac and vascular patients.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care.

Compliance / Notes:

  • Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only).
  • Strict fingerprinting/credentialing timeline; compliance deadline: Tuesday prior to start (no exceptions).
  • Two professional references required; at least one must be a manager/director.
