Job Overview

HVAC Controls Engineer – Building Automation
Location: Columbus, OH (Flexible / Hybrid options available)
We’re looking for a Controls Engineer to support the design and development of building automation systems across commercial projects. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, working across multiple systems, and being involved from design through execution.

Responsibilities
  • Design HVAC and building automation control systems based on project plans.
  • Create system layouts, wiring diagrams, and control drawings.
  • Prepare submittals, as‑builds, and O&M documentation.
  • Select control devices and ensure designs meet project specifications.
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and field teams.
  • Support integration across HVAC, lighting, access control, and related systems.
  • Assist with BAS graphics and system interface development.
Qualifications
  • Experience with HVAC controls or building automation system design.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • Experience with AutoCAD or similar design tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
