Program Manager, Adult Day Services - Art Studio

Columbus, OH | Full-Time

Lead Creative Programs. Develop Teams. Change Lives.

Goodwill Columbus is seeking a passionate and innovative leader to oversee our Adult Day Services program. This role is ideal for someone with experience in developmental disabilities services, arts programming, gallery management, community engagement, or nonprofit leadership who is committed to helping individuals with disabilities build skills, express creativity, and achieve meaningful goals.


Schedule & Location
  • Full-Time, Exempt
  • Monday-Friday with flexibility based on program needs
  • Columbus, OH
  • Local travel required

Key ResponsibilitiesProgram & Team Leadership
  • Supervise, coach, and develop direct support staff.
  • Lead hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
  • Oversee person-centered services, Individual Plans (IPs), and participant outcomes.
  • Develop creative, community-based programming that promotes skill development, self-expression, and inclusion.
  • Ensure adequate staffing, training compliance, and high-quality service delivery.
Community Partnerships & Engagement
  • Build and maintain relationships with families, service coordinators, providers, and community partners.
  • Develop partnerships with arts organizations, galleries, museums, and cultural institutions.
  • Coordinate exhibitions, showcases, and community events that celebrate participant achievements.
  • Support referral development, program growth, and community inclusion opportunities.
Compliance & Operations
  • Ensure compliance with DODD, agency, and program requirements.
  • Review documentation, incident reports, and service records for accuracy and quality.
  • Maintain program records and assist with budgeting, reporting, and operational planning.
  • Monitor program performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

QualificationsEducation & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Arts Administration, Fine Arts, Business Administration, Recreation Therapy, or a related field.
  • Three (3) years of experience in developmental disabilities services, social services, arts programming, gallery management, community engagement, program management, or a related field.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
Requirements & Skills
  • Valid Ohio driver's license and proof of insurance.
  • Ability to obtain required certifications, including CPR, First Aid, CITIES, and Adult Services.
  • Knowledge of developmental disabilities services and person-centered practices.
  • Experience with arts-based programming, galleries, museums, or creative community initiatives preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and build partnerships that enhance participant opportunities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systems.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
  • Work is performed in office, program, and community settings.
  • Ability to assist participants as needed, including lifting and supporting up to 100 pounds with assistance.
  • Regular attendance and local travel required.
