Job description

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Product Operations Associate for a contract assignment with one of our premier Human Resources clients in Dublin, CA. This role will be remote, working PST hours.
Responsibilities :
  • Seeking a dynamic and adaptable Product Operations Associate to join our team and play a critical role in executing and optimizing operational processes in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, exceptional attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication abilities. As a Product Operations Associate, you will partner cross-functionally to execute operational workflows, identify opportunities for process improvements, support scalable operational initiatives, and ensure operational excellence while delivering a high-quality customer experience.
Required Skills:
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing processes and thrive in an ambiguous, fast-paced startup environment.
  • Execute complex operational workflows accurately while maintaining a high standard of quality and efficiency.
  • Identify process gaps, operational risks, and cross-functional breakdowns, and proactively recommend improvements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret operational data and identify trends.
  • Collaborate effectively with Product, Engineering, Design, Customer Success, and other cross-functional teams to resolve issues and improve operational outcomes.
  • Ensure clear and effective written and verbal communication with teammates, leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Support implementation of new operational processes, product launches, and workflow changes.
  • Manage multiple priorities simultaneously while consistently meeting service level agreements (SLAs) and operational deadlines.
  • Contribute to documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and scalable operational runbooks.
  • Familiarity with operational management tools, dashboards, and reporting platforms.
  • Experience in a high-growth startup, payroll, HRIS, or benefits technology environment preferred.
  • Experience supporting leave of absence administration in a multistate environment.
  • Comfortable working within queue-based operational workflows and managing competing priorities.
  • Growth mindset with a bias toward action and continuous improvement.
  • Empathy for employees navigating complex leave experiences.
  • Experience analyzing operational data to identify trends and improve performance.
  • Proficiency with tools such as Metabase, Asana, HubSpot, Google Sheets/Excel, or similar platforms.
  • Ability to quickly learn technical product functionality and operational systems.
  • Delivers high-quality operational execution while consistently meeting SLAs.
  • Proactively identifies opportunities to improve processes, reduce operational risk, and increase efficiency.
  • Builds and maintains scalable documentation, SOPs, and runbooks.
  • Partners effectively across teams to resolve operational issues and improve customer outcomes.
  • Uses operational metrics and data to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Contributes to a culture of accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence
