    Job Summary:

    The Breckenridge Resort Security (BRS) Officer regularly patrols all resort properties in order to mitigate Security, Fire, and Safety situations. Your primary responsibility is to ensure a safe environment while collaborating professionally and proactively with other departments. Your role is crucial in delivering an Experience of a Lifetime for both guests and employees.

    The successful candidate will possess excellent judgment, problem-solving, and communication skills and will thrive working individually or as part of a diverse team. BRS officers work closely with our local law enforcement partners.

    Job Specifications:

    • Starting Wage: $22.00/hr - $26.88/hr 
    • Employment Type: Year Round
    • Shift Type: Full Time hours available
    • Minimum Age: At least 18 years of age 
    • Housing Availability: Yes

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Maintains a daily log of all activities throughout the shift.
    • Maintains key and access control of Vail Properties & mountain road access gates.
    • Assists guest with vehicle lockouts and jump starts.
    • Provides security assistance at all local Vail Resorts hospitality locations.

    Job Requirements:

    • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record- required.
    • Experience in dealing with emergencies - preferred.
    • Ability to remain calm under pressure - required
    • Proficiency in MS 365 - required.
    • Ability to work on your feet for up to 10 hours in a high-altitude mountain environment in inclement weather - required.
    • Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs - required.
    • Professional writing experience - preferred.
    • Strong communication skills with a variety of staff and guests - required.
    • Commitment to diversity and inclusion in the workplace - required.
    • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays - required.
    • Security experience preferred - necessary training will be provided.

    The expected pay range is $22.00/hr - $26.88/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
