    Job description

    Who Are We?

    BOSS Snowplow,locatedin Iron Mountain, Michigan is a division of The Toro Company.BOSS is a leader in the snow and ice management business with a growing lineup of plows for trucks, UTVs and ATVs, salt and sand spreaders, and box plows built for the snow and ice management professional, as well as the homeowner. With a focus on uncompromising quality and high-level craftsmanship, BOSS has grown to be a leader in the sale of truck plows.

    Shift Open:

    Monday - Thursday 2:30 - 11:00pm with 30 min unpaid lunch.

    Pay: Depends on experience, skills and education.

    What Will You Do?

    In order togrow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you willbe responsible for:

    • Maintain, repair, and improve plant manufacturing equipment using mechanical and electrical knowledge.
    • Troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems and mechanical equipment using blueprints, schematics, multimeter and other specialty tools.
    • Formulate and implement Preventive/Predictive maintenance programs and repairs using sound judgment and best known practices.
    • Documentation and other recordkeeping utilizing the Computerized Maintenance Database System.
    • Upkeep of plant infrastructure and subsystems including bulk gas and compressed air distribution systems.
    • Installations & start-up of new equipment
    • Develop & implement improvement ideas to keep BOSS competitive
    • Participate in and own/lead specific safety systems across the plant.

    What Do You Need?

    • High School Diploma required, Associate's Degree in related field preferred.
    • Minimum five years of related maintenance experience or demonstrated abilities in mechanical/electric/hydraulic systems, including troubleshooting and repair.
    • Demonstrated self initiative, ability to work with minimal supervision, and leadership.
    • Work effectively with others in a fast-paced environment across organizational boundaries as a member of a broader team.
    • Possess strong technical curiosity and become a technical master in our core technologies.
    • Possess a demonstrated value for safety and willingness to participate in world class safety programs including providing peer to peer feedback and driving safety improvements as a matter of daily business.
    • Willingness to work 2nd shift, extended hours, any other off-shift hours as needed, be part of a small group that handles breakdown call-in repairs, and periodic weekend work as business needs surface
    • Possess strong decision-making skills and the ability to see a project through to finish.
    • Ability to communicate technical information in both verbal and written formats.
    • Ability to teach others as we strive to grow basic technical skills and preventive maintenance responsibilities in our core operations
    • Previous experience in Robotic operation, programming, laser or plasma cutters, electrical, welding, machine operations, or other specialty skills applicable to our business is a plus.
    • A general positive attitude, a desire to contribute, and willingness to join an organization driven to be the best in our industry in all aspects.
    • Preferred: Troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems using blueprints, schematics, multimeter and other specialty tools.
