Mid Shift, 2:55 AM-11:00 AM, Monday-Friday

Typical starting pay, $29.65/hr., plus $2.00 shift differential

Material Handler at The Toro Company:

The primary responsibilities of this position involve the operation of power equipment and a good working knowledge of the current inventory software system. Responsible for using MRP to determine accurate shipping transactions.

What Will You Do?

  • Operate power equipment such as lift trucks, standup lift trucks, overhead steel cranes and other power equipment will be used in receiving, counting, moving, shipping and/or locating parts, material, jigs, tower fixtures, dies and scrap tanks within various locations in the facility.

  • Check brakes, wheels, steering, oil leaks and other conditions related to safe operation of lift trucks.

  • Complete respective paperwork as necessary, operating scales and computers and other equipment used in inventory recordkeeping within our software system.

  • Execute transactions, make inventory adjustments and make sound decisions in correcting, identifying and verifying inventory in the system.

  • Perform all inventory functions to include:receiving, ordering material, internal moves and shipping.

  • Follow safety rules, produce quality workmanship and maintain good housekeeping in and around the work area.

What Do You Need?

  • High School diploma or equivalent.

  • Core skills training in basic shop math, measuring tools and blueprint reading or demonstrated equivalent knowledge is required.

  • Ability to push, pull, lift, stack pallets, etc. up to 10 pounds frequently.

Work Environment:

  • The nature of this job is such that it requires frequent exposure to noise and oil.Oil can be both on the floor equipment and material or airborne.This position places an employee in an environment which has frequent exposure to cold.

  • Hazards involved in this position are mainly related to the concern for physical injury to self when operating this equipment.Other hazards would include slippery floors.
