    At RSS Technology Solutions, we take pride in delivering timely, professional, and hands-on technical support that keeps our customers up and running. We are currently seeking a Regional Field Technician to join our Field Services Team, supporting customers across the Columbus, OH region and beyond.


    As a Regional Field Technician, you will play a key role in delivering on-site technical support, equipment installations, and customer training. Serving as the face of RSS Technology Solutions in the field, you’ll respond to service needs that go beyond remote support, ensuring customer systems are fully functional and operating smoothly.

    Working closely with the our other departments, you’ll troubleshoot hardware and software issues, manage installations, maintain accurate service documentation, and provide hands-on customer support across the region and beyond.


    JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Deliver prompt, professional, and knowledgeable on-site support to restore customer equipment functionality.

    • Perform overnight system installations and conversions for a wide variety of technology products nationwide.

    • Train customers on new equipment to ensure full understanding and effective use.

    • Maintain accurate vehicle inventory and ensure all tools and equipment are in good working order.

    • Accurately complete service order documentation, including notes, inventory logs, and customer sign-offs.

    • Participate in on-call rotations and travel as needed to support service coverage.

    • Serve as a brand ambassador, delivering outstanding customer service and upholding company standards in every interaction.

    • Independently analyze and resolve complex technical issues using sound judgment and industry best practices.

    • Comply with established pricing and policy standards when offering products or services to customers.

    • Associate’s degree in IT or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

    • 2–5 years of hands-on IT field support experience.

    • A+ or similar technical certifications preferred.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with networking concepts and troubleshooting.

    • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the assigned region.

    • Must be physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing technical work requiring fine motor skills, bending, crawling, and use of hand tools.
