In this critical role, the Sr. Field Application Engineer , will work closely with customers, partners, cross functional stakeholders, in development and execution of growth strategies for applications in Industrial Automation and Electrification industries. Solutions from TE Connectivity's leading product portfolios drive sustained growth for the business and this role will serve as the critical technical expert to our customers and internal teams. You're a self-starter, independent and ambitious, with a strong capacity for closing technical sales efforts providing extraordinary customer experience. At TE Connectivity, you will find a culture that rewards a hands-on entrepreneurial spirit that will empower our teams to work collaboratively supporting our customer's interconnectivity (EMI filters, connectors, relays, contactors, harnesses, electrical cabinets, and wire/cabling) solutions. This role will require the ability to travel to our customer's location as needed. Candidates must reside within 1-3 hours of Columbus, OH.
Job Overview:
The Sr. Field Application Engineer will work directly with customers' engineers to solve their design challenges with TE Connectivity solutions. The successful candidate will be TE Connectivity's application expert to communicate TE Connectivity's value proposition and execute TE strategies to application focus growth customers in a defined territory.
The position will require extensive interaction with customers, partners and channel representatives, along with internal stakeholders (sales, product management, engineering, marketing) to develop opportunities for significant growth. This position reports directly to Industry manager with the role to support TE Connectivity's valued customers in the data center infrastructure for critical power and cooling.
Sr. Field Application Engineer Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute the GTM strategy promoting TE full portfolio (connectors, relays, contactors, EMC filters, custom harnesses, electrical cabinets, wire/cabling solutions for data center infrastructure equipment (PDU, UPS, CDU, Switch Gear)
    • Drive pipeline creating, to increase revenue and ensure an exceptional customer experience solving customer challenges
    • Lead cross functional teams (Product, Engineering, and marketing) to communicate customer roadmaps and VOC for new product development of next-generation TE solutions
    • Communicate TE customer eco-system, and sub-systems to cross functional teams to ensure alignment between strategy and field execution across Regions.
    • Expand TE's strategic partnerships to gain market share across high-value, complex customers

What your background should look like
  • Electrical Engineering Degree (required)
  • 7+ years of Technical Sales experience working with OEMs design engineers and Channel partners
  • Advanced knowledge of Data Center equipment application knowledge (Critical Power & Cooling)
  • Experience drafting and developing initial proposal drawings for wire harnesses utilizing CAD tools.
  • Self-motivated with an ability to apply IP&E components in complex infrastructure applications.
  • Business Acumen, Problem solving and project management skills to execute commercial strategies.
  • Support travel 30% with periods of more intense travel depending upon the needs of the business.
  • Creativity with ability to show TE's Value proposition.

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $104,000 - 156,000(subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
