Quality Control Associate
Pay: $22-$26/hour
Location: Parsippany, NJ
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-hour shift

How We Understand the Role
This version reads as a substantially different position. It appears to be primarily a Quality Control position with approximately 70% of the time dedicated to QC and 30% dedicated to shipping, receiving, packing, and fulfillment.
The candidate would be expected to have actual manufacturing QC/QA experience and be comfortable with precision measurement, specifications, tolerances, inspection documentation, data analysis, and quality processes.
There is also a stronger expectation that this person will help improve QC processes, investigate quality problems, identify root causes, and make inspection and documentation procedures more consistent.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Control - Approximately 70%
Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections.
Verify product dimensions and specifications.
Use calipers, micrometers, pin/plug gauges, optical measurement systems, and other precision equipment.
Read and interpret specifications, drawings, tolerances, and work instructions.
Record and analyze inspection data using Excel and other systems.
Identify nonconforming products and communicate discrepancies.
Assist with root cause investigations and corrective actions.
Help develop and improve inspection procedures, checklists, sampling methods, and documentation.
Assist with calibration and organization of measurement equipment.
Maintain quality records and traceability.
Work with production to prevent recurring quality issues.
Fulfillment & Operations - Approximately 30%
Prepare customer orders for shipment.
Pick, pack, label, and verify products.
Receive incoming materials.
Assist with inventory organization and material movement.
Create shipping labels and documentation.
Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation.
Communicate shipping, inventory, and receiving discrepancies.
Maintain clean and organized work areas.
Lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications
1+ year of Quality Control or Quality Assurance experience required, preferably in manufacturing.
2+ years preferred.
Experience with precision measurement equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
Understanding of QC concepts, inspection methods, tolerances, and measurement.
Strong math skills.
Strong computer skills and Microsoft Excel proficiency.
ERP/MRP, inventory, quality, or shipping software experience preferred.
Ability to read specifications, work instructions, and technical documentation.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and with production/operations teams.
