    Job description

    Position Overview
    Driving support for the 5-day white water river trek program by loading, transporting, unloading, cleaning, and stocking of gear, staff, and guests with a vehicle and/or trailer.
    Key Responsibilities
    • Support 5-day whitewater treks with vehicle and trailer driving gear, staff, and guests to and from river
    • Load and unload gear, staff, and guests to and from river
    • Assist in cleaning, packing, and inventory of gear needed for trek
    • Maintain trek equipment in an organized and good working condition
    • Ensure safety and quality standards remain at the highest levels
    • Backup truck trailer in reverse over 200 feet with turns.
    • Model the Scout Oath and Law in daily interactions
    • Maintain a clean, organized, inspected, neat, and safe work area
    • Perform additional duties assigned by SBR leadership
    • Abide by policies and procedures outlined in the SBR staff handbook

    Qualifications
    • Minimum age: 18+
    • Required: Valid driver's license and ability to obtain Summit Driving permit.
    • Required: Experience driving and backing loaded flatbed trailers.
    • Preferred: Commercial Driver License
    • Willing to become a registered Scouting America member (includes background screening)
    • Comfortable using Microsoft Teams for daily work-related communication

    Physical & Practical Requirements
    • Ability to stand, walk, hike, and drive and up to 8 hours daily and ability to lift/move up to 70 pounds
    • Complete the Annual Health and Medical Record, including height/weight guidelines
    • Housing: 10'x12' platform tent in Staff Camp | Uniform: Summit Staff Uniform | Work Hours: 45 - 55
