    Job description

    A leader in technology and innovation, Southwire Company, LLC is one of North America’s largest wire and cable producers.     Job Description

    Job Summary/Objective:
    The purpose of Southwire’s College Programs is to help early career professionals bring together formal learning and

    productive work to improve their ability to transition from school to work. Southwire provides interns and co-ops with

    “real world” applications of their academic studies, helpful feedback and coaching, and consideration for employment

    after graduation. Each student will have a variety of responsibilities and assigned projects that relate to their field of

    study and be responsible for developing a timeline, progress updates, and final delivery in a senior leadership expo.

    Note: All new interns and co-ops must begin in the summer rotation.

    Key Responsibilities
    · Your intern assignment is generally 10-12 weeks, and co-op assignment is generally 16-18 weeks and

    will include an assigned project and opportunities to present your work.

    · You will also collaborate on other exciting projects and work with talented peers and inspirational

    leaders, many of whom began as interns and co-ops themselves.

    · You will be provided a robust developmental experience through an immersive onboarding and

    offboarding experience, assigned a mentor, networking opportunities, organized events, activities, and

    community service /volunteer initiatives.

    · You will have the opportunity to impact the future of the organization, all the while being exposed to

    a world-class program community.

    · Finally, our rising senior interns and co-ops are considered for full-time employment opportunities.

    Long Description

    Position Summary

    This position will support the Integrated Marketing team across Southwire's key business segments, including Energy, Industrial, and OEM. The intern will contribute to strategic marketing initiatives, campaign execution, account-based marketing (ABM) programs, and marketing operations efforts that enhance customer engagement and strengthen Southwire's market presence across critical infrastructure and energy markets. The intern will play a key role in analytics, campaign measurement, and reporting, helping teams make data-informed decisions and optimize marketing performance.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Support development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns that align with Southwire's strategic growth markets, including utility, data centers, renewable energy, and telecom.
    • Assist in the planning and execution of Account-Based Marketing (ABM) initiatives targeting key customer accounts and strategic market segments.
    • Extract, compile, and analyze campaign performance data to develop insights, dashboards, and reports that support marketing effectiveness and decision-making.  
    • Conduct research on customer needs, industry trends, competitive activity, and target accounts to support campaign planning and ABM strategies.
    • Support the creation and coordination of marketing content, sales enablement materials, presentations, digital assets, and campaign resources.
    • Assist with planning and execution of webinars, trade shows, customer events, site visits, and segment marketing initiatives.
    • Support marketing operations activities, including campaign tracking, lead management, reporting, and process improvements.
    • Collaborate with cross functional partners—including product management, sales, and digital teams—to ensure campaign alignment and data accuracy.
    • Perform additional marketing operations or campaign support tasks as needed based on evolving team priorities.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 2.5 GPA.
    • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or Communications
    • Reliable transportation to and from work.
    • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
    • Strong organization, planning, and analytical skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) or other relevant tools.
