This is an onsite role in Goleta, CA. What You Will Do * Serve as the primary Systems Engineering focal point for the program
* Manage configuration process, performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications
* Partner with the Program Chief Engineer in ensuring the engineering team aligns to cost/schedule
* Provide technical directions to multi-disciplinary program teams
* Implement and ensure adherence to systems engineering processes throughout the program lifecycle
* Oversee the development and maintenance of technical documentation, including system specifications, design documents, and test plans
* Coordinate system engineering activities, including requirements analysis, system design, integration, and testing
* Conduct system-level trade studies and performance analysis
* Participate in design reviews, technical meetings, and customer presentations
* Support program management with technical risk assessments and mitigation strategies
* Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs architectural exploration
* Decomposes customer specifications and system level requirements into sub-system and piece part requirements and generates verification criteria and plans for the requirements Qualifications You Must Have * Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline (preferably Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or Physics) and 8+ years of relevant systems engineering experience
* EW/Radar system development, including requirements decomposition, architecture definition, and system-level integration & verification planning
* Experience developing systems engineering artifacts such as requirements, specifications, interface control documents (ICDs), and verification/validation (V&V) plans
* Experience supporting system-level technical reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR) and coordinating across multi-disciplinary engineering teams
* Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance Qualifications We Prefer * Writing, managing, and tracing system and subsystem requirements for EW/Radar systems throughout the lifecycle
* Defining system architectures, performance budgets, and interface definitions (RF, digital, and mixed-signal)
* Planning and overseeing development of Special Test Equipment (STE) and system-level test infrastructure
* Analyzing and modeling EW/Radar system performance, including RF chain, signal processing, and end-to-end behavior
* Knowledge of millimeter wave and microwave RF at the module and system levels
* Integrating mixed signal modules into higher level assemblies, including interface and configuration management
* Experience developing or interpreting security and cybersecurity requirements relevant to government systems
* Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and processes, including SysML and Cameo Enterprise Architecture
