Job description

Job Summary:
Red Alpha is focused on delivering engineering excellence in support of national security missions. As a Senior CNO Developer, you will collaborate with a team to develop and deploy visualization analyst tools, while leading design and development efforts for complex software solutions.
Responsibilities:
• Provides design ideas for new capabilities or recommendations for improvements to existing capabilities.
• Communicates status with leadership and customers.
• Contributes to the completion of milestones associated with specific projects.
• Provides solutions to a variety of complex technical problems.
• Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming.
• Ensures software standards are met.
• Leads the design, development, documenting, testing and debugging of applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.
• Potentially leads a project developing hardware or software based CNO capabilities, and provides direction to other CNO developers.
• Plans and conducts assignments, generally involving the larger and more important projects or more than one project.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 20+ years of experience as a Software Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
• Expert knowledge of multiple programming languages such as C/C++, assembly (e.g. x86, ARM, MIPS), Python, or PERL
• Familiarity with multiple software development methodologies (e.g. Scrum, TDD, Waterfall)
• Expert level knowledge of security concepts, networks, device drivers, & system internals are applied in daily tasks
• Expert knowledge in at least one technology area (e.g. Windows, Unix, Mobile, Network devices)
• Software Analysis/Reverse Engineering experience
• Embedded systems development experience
• A solid understanding of assembly programming concepts
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university OR 4 years of additional software engineering experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree
• An active US Government TS/SCI security clearance with Polygraph
Preferred:
• Experience working with networking (TCP/IP)
• Python experience
• Unit Test experience
• Experience using Jenkins Continuous Integration Server
• Ability to handle stress and work well under pressure
• Analytical and Critical Thinking Skills
