Service Center Technicians are one of our greatest internal resources maintaining, diagnosing and repairing material handling equipment, including lift trucks and other complementary supply chain products at customer sites. They understand the importance of a timely, cost-effective approach. Our Service Center Technicians benefit from a guaranteed 40 hours of work (flag hours don't exist here!), as much overtime as you would like to work, uniform allowance and more. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
* Diagnose, trouble-shoot and repair forklifts and other assigned equipment in accordance with established guidelines and procedures while maintaining positive customer relations.
* Conduct routine and special inspections as required.
* Read and interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins and other specifications to determine the feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
* Maintain repair logs, documenting all preventive and corrective maintenance.
* Account for all parts, materials, tools and consumables used as required.
ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS
* Report all accidents, injuries, safety violations and unsafe working conditions to your supervisor immediately.
* Develop and maintain positive, effective working relationships with internal customers and co-workers.
* Keep an adequate set of personal tools as required by your supervisor at all times.
* Maintain equipment, storage devices, service manuals and related documentation.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience
* Two or more years of experience in a related field, including maintenance of various lift truck manufacturers, automotive, aviation or military, or recent trade school graduates with applied skills
* Some college, completed trade school program or degree in a related field of study
Specialized
* Solid foundation of mechanical aptitude and ability, with knowledge of industrial electricity
* Basic and increasing knowledge of hydraulics preferred
* Valid driver's license, including clean motor vehicle record
* Clean background and ability to pass a drug screen
* Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
