    The Compensation team within Prudential's Total Rewards organization plays a critical role in enabling data-driven talent decisions. Through market intelligence, compensation analytics, job architecture, and strategic consulting, the team partners across the enterprise to design and deliver compensation solutions that support business objectives and employee growth. The Senior Compensation Analyst will have the opportunity to work on high-impact initiatives while influencing pay decisions and compensation strategies across a diverse organization.

    Location: Newark, NJ with a hybrid work arrangement ( 3 days/ week in office)

    Here is What You Can Expect on a Typical Day

    As a Senior Compensation Analyst, you will partner with People Team colleagues and business leaders to provide compensation insights, recommendations, and solutions that support talent and business strategies.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Partner with People Business Leaders and business leaders to support data-driven compensation decisions related to hiring, promotions, internal mobility, and talent management.
    • Develop thoughtful compensation recommendations and analyses that balance internal equity, market competitiveness, and business needs.
    • Conduct market pricing, job evaluations, and benchmarking activities using survey data and external market intelligence.
    • Evaluate the quality, relevance, and applicability of compensation survey data and market sources to support compensation decisions.
    • Support the evolution and communication of Prudential's Compensation and Total Rewards philosophy, guiding principles, and programs.
    • Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of job architecture and the job catalog to support career pathing, talent planning, and market alignment.
    • Provide compensation support and guidance for emerging, high-demand, and strategically critical roles.
    • Deliver compensation analyses and insights that help address workforce, staffing, and talent-related challenges.
    • Partner on compensation projects and annual processes, ensuring effective execution and continuous improvement.
    • Translate complex compensation data into clear, actionable insights for leaders and non-technical audiences.

    The Skills and Expertise You Bring

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Data Science, Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience; advanced degree preferred.
    • Proven experience supporting compensation programs, market analysis, benchmarking, and survey participation highly desired.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable recommendations.
    • Advanced Excel and data management capabilities; experience with automation, AI-enabled tools, predictive analytics, or modeling is a plus.
    • Ability to synthesize large volumes of data and communicate meaningful insights to a variety of stakeholders.
    • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
    • Proven ability to build relationships, collaborate across teams, and influence stakeholders at multiple levels.
    • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
    • Detail-oriented and intellectually curious with a continuous improvement mindset.
    • Experience with Workday, CompAnalyst, or other compensation technology platforms is a plus.
    • Experience supporting global or international compensation programs is a plus.
    • Financial services industry experience is a plus.

    Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $89,000.00 to $147,000.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
    • Market competitive base salaries, with a yearly bonus potential at every level.
