Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU | Per Diem

Agency: Protouch Staffing

Location: Mission Hills, CA

Start Date: June 18, 2026

Shift: Days/Nights

Compensation

$52 per hour

Job Summary

Protouch Staffing is seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse for a high-acuity, Level II Trauma facility. The role involves caring for critically ill patients across multiple ICU specialties, including Medical, Surgical, Cardiac, and Neuro units. Candidates must be comfortable floating to Stepdown/PCU units as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience

  • BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications (AHA required)

  • Experience with Epic EMR (no training provided)

  • Must be willing to float to Stepdown/PCU (ratio 1:3)

  • LA Fire Card required within 30 days of start

  • Experience with Pulmonary Artery (Swan Ganz) monitoring

Core Skills

  • Ventilator management and respiratory support (BiPAP, CPAP, HFNC)

  • Cardiac drips and dysrhythmia interpretation

  • Central, arterial, and pulmonary artery line management

  • Stroke, trauma, and post-surgical critical care

  • ABG interpretation and emergency response

  • IV sedation, paralytics, and vasoactive drips

Additional Details

  • Level II Trauma Center

  • High-acuity environment (cardiac, neuro, trauma, sepsis)

  • No formal orientation - must be able to work independently

  • Floating required based on unit needs

  • Charting system: Epic

  • Required scrubs: Royal Blue
