Job description

Clayton Services is searching for an Inside Sales Account Manager to join a thriving manufacturing company in Southwest Houston. The Inside Sales Account Manager will be responsible for managing customer accounts, preparing quotes, and supporting the full sales cycle from inquiry through order fulfillment.
Job Type: Direct Hire
Pay Rate: $50,000/year + bonus potential

Inside Sales Account Manager Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts, handling inquiries, quotes, and order follow-up
  • Prepare and deliver accurate quotes including pricing, lead times, and terms
  • Manage the full lifecycle of customer orders from initial request through production and delivery
  • Coordinate with internal teams including production, operations, and shipping to ensure timely fulfillment
  • Track and manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships to drive repeat business and account growth
  • Participate in customer meetings and represent the company with professionalism and commercial awareness
  • Maintain accurate records in ERP systems and update customer data as needed
  • Utilize Excel and internal systems to track orders, pricing, and account activity
  • Other duties as assigned
Inside Sales Account Manager Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on tasks
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
  • Professional presence with the ability to interact with customers and stakeholders confidently
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable learning ERP systems
Inside Sales Account Manager Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 1-5+ years of inside sales, account management, or customer-facing experience (manufacturing or industrial experience preferred)
  • Experience quoting products, managing orders, or supporting sales operations is a plus
  • ERP system experience preferred
