Job DescriptionThe purpose of this job is to identify training needs and develop, implement, and assess the effectiveness of training solutions for the Pilot Sales team.
- Lead the curriculum development and training facilitation for the Pilot Sales team, using various formats (i.e., instructor-led, virtual, webinar, eLearning, etc.).
- Conduct needs assessment and analysis to identify development needs and define learning and performance objectives.
- Create blended learning content aligned with learning objectives.
- Partner with subject matter experts and other internal stakeholders (e.g., department leadership, Human Resources staff) to identify needs, develop training content, and deliver most appropriate solutions.
- Develop and implement methods to evaluate, measure and improve employee performance.
- Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness, success and return on investment.
- Manage existing content; make timely updates based on internal stakeholder feedback and changes in process or business needs.
- Maintain awareness of industry developments and Pilot’s products and services to provide relevant training resources.
- Model behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level
- Ensure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
- Complete other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in I/O psychology, human resources, adult education or related field required.
- Minimum five years’ experience creating training content required.
- Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) or other recognized industry training certification preferred.
- Experience in sales and/or development of sales training required.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
- Familiarity with software for development of training and multi-media content preferred (e.g., video, desktop publishing, LMS, etc.).
- Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design.
- Knowledge of teaching and instruction for individuals and groups.
- Knowledge of assessment and measurement of training effects (e.g., Kirkpatrick’s 4 levels).
- Knowledge of adult learning theory and methodologies required.
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency in applying critical thinking skills to assess and solve training needs.
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team across various functions.
- Ability to meet goals and objectives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
