    Experienced Automotive Technician / Mechanic

    Midas Auto Service Experts is hiring a highly skilled Automotive Technician with at least 10 years of professional automotive repair experience.
    We're looking for a dependable, self-motivated technician who can accurately diagnose and repair domestic and import vehicles with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate must be experienced in major mechanical repairs.
    Responsibilities
    • Diagnose and repair domestic and import vehicles
    • Perform engine diagnostics and check-engine-light repairs
    • Perform engine removal and replacement (R&R)
    • Perform transmission removal and replacement
    • Diagnose and complete head-gasket repairs
    • Replace timing belts, timing chains, water pumps, and related components
    • Diagnose and complete internal and external engine repairs
    • Repair brake, steering, suspension, and exhaust systems
    • Diagnose and repair electrical, A/C, heating, and cooling systems
    • Service batteries, starters, and charging systems
    • Perform oil changes and factory-scheduled maintenance
    • Mount, balance, and repair tires
    • Complete digital vehicle inspections
    • Document findings and recommend necessary repairs
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

    Qualifications
    • Minimum of 10 years of professional automotive repair experience required
    • Proven experience with engine and transmission removal and replacement
    • Strong experience with head-gasket repairs
    • Experience replacing timing belts and timing chains
    • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
    • Experience servicing both foreign and domestic vehicles
    • Proficiency with scan tools and modern diagnostic equipment
    • ASE certifications preferred
    • Valid California driver's license
    • Must own professional automotive tools
    • Dependable, punctual, and committed to quality workmanship
