As a Morning Server at Society 1854 located in the Omaha Marriott Downtown, you will tailor the dining experience to each guest providing food and beverage services in a friendly, courteous, timely, and professional manner resulting in a superior level of guest satisfaction.
Located in the heart of downtown Omaha, the Omaha Marriott Downtown is a premier destination known for its world-class hospitality, sleek design, and exceptional service. Ranked among the top hotels in the city, we take pride in creating unforgettable guest experiences' and that same commitment extends to our team members. With 333 modern rooms and over 15,000 square feet of event space, our hotel serves as the anchor of Omaha's vibrant Capitol District. What will you be doing?
  • Greet guests and explain specials & promotions.
  • Understand menu including ingredients and preparation of the dishes to the delivery and service expected to accompany the dish.
  • Record and input guest orders into the Point of Sale system.
  • Retrieve, confirm, and deliver orders with condiments; follow liquor regulations.
  • Replenish beverages and ensure overall guest satisfaction.
  • Collect payment, thank guests, and invite them to return.
  • Complete side work and cleaning tasks including restocking and replenishing condiments.

What do you bring to the role?
  • High school degree or equivalent preferred
  • Must have high level knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations, etiquette, appropriate table settings, service ware, and menu items.
  • One year or more of service in a fine dining outlet preferred.
  • Handle customer complaints with empathy and provide proactive solutions.
  • Proficient in English for guest requests, memos, and reservations.
  • Ability to work POS system and cash handling experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds unassisted on occasion as well as move through crowded rooms to seat guests.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holiday and have reliable transportation to and from work
