Job Summary:
Description - External
Due to our success and increased business opportunities, we are looking for an IAS Associate Consultant to provide technical and operational support within Integrated Absence Solutions Practice. The ideal candidate will demonstrate group life and disability benefits experience; high level of professionalism, possess the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment, the flexibility to easily adapt to changing priorities and desire to engage in new opportunities to learn.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist in analyzing client needs and recommending tailored absence management solutions.
• Provide guidance to clients on federal, state, and local leave regulations, including FMLA, ADA, and state-specific leave laws.
• Support clients with program implementation, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and processes.
• Collaborate with internal teams to manage the day-to-day administration of absence programs, including leave tracking and compliance oversight.
• Help ensure that all documentation, processes, and communications are accurate and compliant with legal requirements.
• Assist in creating workflows, policies, and procedures for absence management programs.
• Gather and analyze absence program data to identify trends, performance metrics, and areas for improvement.
• Prepare reports and presentations for internal and client use, delivering actionable insights.
• Stay informed about updates to absence-related regulations and communicate changes to clients as needed.
• Contribute to the development of best practices for program implementation and administration.
• Work closely with senior consultants, project managers, and operational teams to deliver high-quality absence solutions.
• Assist in identifying and resolving issues related to absence program administration.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance the efficiency of absence program delivery.
• Provide input into the development of tools and resources to improve client experiences.
Requirements:
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 1-3 years of experience in absence management, benefits administration, or human resources.
  • Basic understanding of federal, state, and local leave regulations (e.g., FMLA, ADA).
  • Ability to review complex renewals for areas of opportunity, ability to lead renewal negotiations with carrier with oversight
  • Can conduct alternative design analysis for self-funded disability, leave plans, and paid time off programs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiarity with HRIS or absence management systems (e.g., Workday, ADP).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Legal right to work in the United States.
