Assistant Plant Manager - Montgomery, AL
Job Description
You play a critical role in leading daily operations at the Louisville automotive manufacturing facility. As a member of the Louisville Leadership Team, you help drive safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance while supporting customers, employees, and the local community.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate day-to-day plant operations across production, engineering, materials, and quality functions.
  • Drive a participative, high-performance culture by leading cultural change and engaging teams at all levels.
  • Support OEM customer launches and ongoing production by coordinating cross-functional activities and meeting customer requirements.
  • Set long-term goals and objectives for the facility to anticipate future business and operational needs.
  • Evaluate plant performance through regular quality and operational reviews and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Identify production risks and develop contingency plans to ensure continuity of supply and customer satisfaction.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop plant leadership to support succession planning and long-term talent development.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, Human Rights, and Employment Standards while communicating plant performance and goals through regular meetings.

Experience Requirements
  • 5-10 years of experience in a management role within the automotive manufacturing industry.
  • Bachelors Degree in a related field.
  • Experience overseeing operations producing automotive seats, interiors, or instrument panels.
  • Experience managing complex supply chains in high-complexity manufacturing environments.
  • Experience leading or working within High Performance Work Teams.
  • Proven experience supporting OEM customers on quality, launch, and operations topics.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities with strong time management and attention to detail.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing assembly, sequencing, and equipment principles.
