    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Kforce has a client that is seeking a Performance Engineer in Miami, FL.
    Summary:
    The client is looking for a Senior Performance Engineer to own and elevate API performance testing across a complex, integrated application ecosystem. This role goes beyond executing load tests - it requires someone who can define performance strategy, interpret results, and clearly communicate business impact to both technical teams and leadership.
    This position is a replacement for an existing contractor, with the goal of a smooth transition once the right candidate is identified.
    Key Responsibilities:
    Own API performance testing across a distributed ecosystem that includes:
    * Salesforce
    * MuleSoft
    * Oracle
    * Boundary and downstream applications with heavy API dependencies
    Design and execute a comprehensive performance testing strategy, including:
    * Load testing
    * Stress testing
    * Scalability testing
    * Endurance testing
    * Volume testing
    Develop structured performance test plans that clearly define:
    * User and transaction models
    * Test duration and ramp profiles
    * Objectives, thresholds, and success criteria
    Execute tests using industry standard tooling and analyze results to identify:
    * Bottlenecks
    * Failure points
    * Scalability risks
    Partner closely with engineering, architecture, and DevOps teams to:
    * Drive root cause analysis
    * Recommend remediation approaches
    * Validate fixes
    Leverage existing automation frameworks where applicable (Playwright, TypeScript, Cucumber):
    Produce clear, executive ready summaries outlining:
    * What was tested
    * Why it matters
    * What the results mean for performance, stability, and risk
    * Recommended next steps
    REQUIREMENTS:
    * Must have strong communication skills
    * Able to create presentations for Non-Technical Executives based on performance testing findings
    The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
    We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
