    Cold Plate / Hardware Rework Technician (Contract)
    Job Summary
    We are seeking a hands-on Hardware Rework Technician to support assembly, repair, validation, and rework of next-generation AI and networking systems. The ideal candidate will have experience working in prototype or manufacturing environments, performing electromechanical assembly, hardware debugging, and liquid-cooling component installation and maintenance.
    Key Responsibilities
    • Assemble, disassemble, and rework server, networking, and AI compute systems.
    • Install, remove, troubleshoot, and replace cold plates, heatsinks, and liquid-cooling components.
    • Apply thermal interface materials (TIM) and thermal paste following documented procedures.
    • Perform leak testing, pressure testing, and quality inspections on liquid-cooling systems.
    • Handle and install PCBAs, processors, optics, and other sensitive hardware components.
    • Load and configure systems in test chassis, racks, and validation environments.
    • Read and follow engineering drawings, assembly instructions, SOPs, and work orders.
    • Document failures, repairs, and hardware modifications.
    • Support prototype builds, engineering validation activities, and manufacturing debug.

    Required Qualifications
    • 2+ years of experience in hardware assembly, manufacturing, prototype builds, or engineering lab environments.
    • Experience working with electromechanical assemblies and computer/server hardware.
    • Familiarity with PCBA handling, heatsink installation, and ESD-safe practices.
    • Ability to read 2D engineering drawings and assembly documentation.
    • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
    • Ability to lift and move hardware systems up to 50 lbs.

    Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience with cold plate assembly, liquid cooling systems, or direct-to-chip cooling.
    • Background at major contract manufacturers such as Sanmina, Jabil, Flex, Delta, Celestica, or similar organizations.
    • Experience supporting data center, networking, server, or AI hardware products.
    • Basic soldering, cable routing, and hardware debug experience.
