Job description

Job Summary:
InterSources Inc is a Certified Diverse Supplier and an Award-Winning Global Software Consultancy that offers innovative solutions for Digital Transformations. They are seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Engineer (OpenShift) to design and build scalable infrastructure solutions, focusing on engineering and product development rather than day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities:
• Design and build core infrastructure platforms to support enterprise applications and services.
• Architect and implement new Kubernetes clusters, with a focus on space planning, scalability, and performance.
• Lead the design and setup of virtualized environments using OpenShift (on KVM hypervisors) and VMware ESXi.
• Define and implement infrastructure best practices and standards across the organization.
• Work closely with application architects and product teams to align infrastructure design with business needs.
• Provide subject matter expertise in Linux-based infrastructure and automation where required (without a DevOps focus).
Qualifications:
Required:
• Strong engineering background in infrastructure architecture and systems design.
• Hands-on experience with building Kubernetes infrastructure (not just operating it).
• Deep knowledge of OpenShift in engineering/design context, including usage on KVM hypervisors.
• Expertise in VMware hypervisor environments (ESXi).
• Solid experience with Linux systems engineering.
• Proven ability to design and build platforms/products—not just support or deploy them.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred:
• Experience integrating infrastructure with CI/CD pipelines (as an advisor, not executor).
• Familiarity with hybrid cloud or multi-cloud environments.
• Exposure to infrastructure automation (Terraform, Ansible) at an architectural level.
