Armed Lieutenant - City of Richmond
Inter-Con Security Systems, Inc.

Inter-Con Security Systems is hiring an experienced Armed Lieutenant to support security operations at City of Richmond facilities. This role serves as a post leader and trainer, responsible for maintaining operational standards, coaching officers, and delivering a consistently high level of customer service.
This position is ideal for security professionals who lead from the front, hold the line on standards, and understand that professionalism and public interaction matter just as much as post coverage.
Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as post leader for assigned City of Richmond locations
  • Train, mentor, and coach officers on post orders, procedures, and expectations
  • Enforce compliance with DCJS, City, and Inter-Con standards
  • Model and reinforce a high level of customer service in a public-facing environment
  • Address minor performance issues and escalate concerns appropriately
  • Support scheduling, coverage, and on-site operational needs as required

Requirements
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid Virginia DCJS Armed Registration
  • Minimum 2 years of armed security experience (1+ year in a lead or supervisory role preferred)
  • Valid U.S. driver's license or state ID
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Availability for nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime
  • Flexible availability; shifts and locations may vary
