Application Engineering Co-Op

Location: Surrey, BC

May 2026 - August 2026

Position Summary

Industrial Electric Mfg. (IEM) is seeking a motivated Electrical Engineering Co-Op student to support IEMs Applications Technical Services Engineering team. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain practical experience in electrical utility requirements and the effects on a manufactures design requirement. The Electrical Engineering Co-Op will assist our Technical Services Team with a complete review / overhaul of applicable utility standards that are documented within IEMs standard practices. These utility companies are primarily in America but will include limited Canadian Utilities. Other data management, and documentation, tasks can be assigned if time allows.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Assist with the organization and maintenance of engineering documentation and reference materials.
  2. Contact utilities to gain access to their latest Electrical Service Agreements.
  3. Perform other duties as assigned by the assigned Engineering Manager.

  • Currently studying Electrical Engineering at an accredited University
