Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Software Engineer for a contract to hire opportunity with a Major Financial Institution located in Dallas, TX or Pittsburgh, PA.

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with hands-on Firco product experience, strong Oracle backend development skills, and Java full-stack expertise. This individual will design, develop, enhance, and support applications integrating with the Firco financial-crime and sanctions-screening platform. The ideal candidate understands Firco product configuration and schemas, Oracle database development, and enterprise Java applications within a banking or financial-services environment.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and support applications integrated with Firco sanctions-screening products
• Work with Firco products such as Firco Continuity, Firco Trust, and Firco Compliance Link
• Develop full-stack solutions using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and modern UI technologies
• Develop and optimize Oracle database objects, including schemas, tables, views, stored procedures, functions, packages, and triggers
• Analyze and work with Firco product schemas, data models, configurations, and screening results
• Integrate Firco with payment platforms, SWIFT messaging, databases, APIs, case-management systems, and downstream applications
• Develop solutions supporting real-time and batch screening of transactions, payments, and customer data
• Troubleshoot screening failures, data issues, integration errors, and production incidents
• Perform SQL tuning and improve database and application performance
• Support Firco upgrades, migrations, configuration changes, patches, and platform enhancements
• Develop unit and integration tests and participate in system and regression testing
• Review code, enforce development standards, and mentor junior engineers
• Work closely with compliance, business analysts, quality engineers, architects, and production-support teams
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, release planning, deployments, and post-production support

Requirements:

• 7+ years of application-development experience
• Hands-on development or integration experience with FircoSoft/Firco products
• Strong understanding of Firco product schemas, configurations, data structures, and screening workflows
• Advanced Oracle backend development experience
• Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills, including stored procedures, packages, functions, triggers, and performance tuning
• Strong Java development experience using Java/J2EE, Spring, and Spring Boot
• Experience developing RESTful APIs and microservices
• Front-end development experience with Angular, React, or a similar JavaScript framework
• Experience integrating enterprise applications with databases, APIs, message queues, and batch-processing platforms
• Experience working in Linux/Unix environments and using Shell scripting
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and production-support skills

Desired skills:

• Banking or financial-services experience
• Knowledge of AML, KYC, OFAC, sanctions screening, and financial-crime compliance
• Experience with SWIFT MT and ISO 20022 payment-message formats
• Experience with MQ, Kafka, XML, JSON, and file-based integrations
• Familiarity with Jenkins, Git, Maven, CI/CD, and automated deployments
• Experience with Kubernetes, cloud platforms, or containerized applications
• Experience working in high-volume, real-time transaction-processing environments

Pay range: $52.44 - $60.44 per hour
