Genesis10 is currently seeking a SAFe Product Owner - Hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

We are seeking an experienced SAFe Product Owner to join a dynamic team in the security or banking domain. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agile methodologies and a deep understanding of financial services or security systems, working closely with Product Management to create and maintain a product backlog according to business priorities.

Responsibilities:

• Define and prioritize the team backlog to streamline the execution of program priorities, maintaining conceptual and technical integrity of the features or components for the team
• Work closely with Product Management to create and maintain a product backlog according to business priorities
• Lead the planning of product release plans / PI planning, Sprint Planning and set the expectation for delivery of new functionalities
• Provide an active role in mitigating dependencies of team which help successful completion of Release/Sprint Goals
• Keep abreast with Agile/Scrum best practices and new trends
• Be accountable for adhering to enterprise standards for documentation in our software delivery tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.)

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
• 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner in the security or banking domain
• Must have prior DEV or QA background
• Ability to drive a Technology driven project
• Experience in communicating and coordinating between Developers, Architects, Business partners effectively
• Experience in understanding new requirements and size the efforts
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to think outside the box
• Run daily scrum calls, planning meetings, backlog grooming
• Demonstrated ability in writing user stories and managing backlogs
• Strong understanding of SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework), with SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) certification strongly preferred
• Generate reports using JIRA
• Experience with agile methodologies, particularly Scrum
• Technical proficiency in using JIRA or other agile project management tools

Desired skills:

• Knowledge of regulatory standards affecting the banking or security sectors, such as GDPR, MRA
• Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) environments

Pay range: $54.37 - $62.37 per hour
