Job description
Genesis10 is currently seeking a Java Developer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Pennington, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.
We are looking for a seasoned Java Developer to join a team for a critical, large-scale Cloud Migration Project. This role is responsible for refactoring and migrating existing on-premise Java applications to a modern, cloud-native architecture. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in Java/J2EE and a strong command of Oracle Database optimization and migration strategies to ensure applications are scalable, performant, and secure in a cloud environment.
Responsibilities:
- Refactor and migrate existing on-premise Java applications to a modern, cloud-native architecture
- Ensure applications are scalable, performant, and secure in a cloud environment
Requirements:
- 5+ years of professional experience in Java/J2EE development
- Oracle Mastery: Deep understanding of Oracle Database, including advanced SQL, PL/SQL, indexing, query optimization, and stored procedures
- Migration Experience: Proven track record of participating in or leading application migration projects from on-premise to cloud infrastructure
- Framework Expertise: Proficiency with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, or similar frameworks for building microservices
- API Development: Extensive experience in developing and consuming secure RESTful APIs
- Cloud Proficiency: Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or OCI) and containerization tools (Docker)
Pay range: $55.06 - $63.06 per hour
