    The Opportunity

    We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Medical Digital Engagement Lead - Omnichannel to drive a transformative shift in how US Medical engages customers. This role will be pivotal in building out and driving adoption of a seamless, customer-centric digital experience for medical information, clinical trial data, scientific publications, and medical resources/services. This individual will play a critical role in optimizing our online footprint and ensuring our digital channels effectively support therapeutic area medical plans. As a key business enablement role within the Medical Activation cross-functional capability team, this role ensures digital capabilities and tools are effectively designed to meet business needs and are embedded into US Medical processes, providing strong user understanding, workflow expertise, and product ecosystem knowledge to navigate complexity and build trust in a matrixed environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    Elevate Digital Customer Engagement: Increase the number, frequency, and depth of digital customer engagement on our Genentech medical websites, optimizing the overall content experience.

    Manage Medical Media: Oversee the cross-portfolio Medical media plan, ensuring compliant and cost-efficient execution with clear business guidance aligned with Legal, Regulatory, and Compliance, reinforcing a non-promotional presence on the channels.

    Evolve Medical Web Presence & Content Accessibility: Lead the future state of our integrated medical web presence, including evolving capabilities for seamless omnichannel orchestration with Field Medical and the Medical Information Call Center, and integrating the full medical content repository for comprehensive, proactive, and reactive HCP access.

    Implement Impact Measurement: Develop and execute a robust measurement strategy to derive insights and understand the impact of web-based digital engagement on medical objectives.

    Who you are

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Bachelor's degree (scientific, medical, communications, or digital marketing).

    • 8+ years in digital strategy/engagement within a medical or highly regulated environment.

    • 2+ years in Medical Affairs or a closely related pharma/biotech function.

    • Proven success managing integrated web experiences, media plans, and budgets.

    • Skills: Strong knowledge of digital medical communication principles, web analytics, SEO, and UX. Excellent project management and interpersonal skills. Familiarity with relevant compliance regulations (e.g., PhRMA, FDA) and working in a matrixed environment.

    Preferred Qualifications & Experience

    • Advanced degree (PharmD, PhD, MS).

    • Experience with data strategy, digital platforms (Adobe, Veeva, Salesforce), user research, and clinical trial recruitment tactics.

    Location & Travel Requirements

    This position is based in South San Francisco, CA, and offers a hybrid schedule working in the office 3 days per week. Occasional travel may be required.

    The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of South San Francisco, CA is $182,100 - 338,300. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
