    Job description

    Overview
    Join a team of product managers supporting the data needs of users with ready-to-use spatial and location-based data products and services. Esri users are solving some of the world's toughest challenges. To support their work, Esri strives to provide the right data in the right way, meeting users where and how they work. As a product manager for ArcGIS Basemaps, you will use your experience with spatial and location-based data to define, prioritize, and evangelize the development of Esri's ready-to-use basemaps offered across the ArcGIS system.
    Responsibilities
    • Gather, prioritize, and document feedback from end users to explore trends, influence product direction, and help internal teams understand market needs
    • Drive product management excellence through cross-product team collaboration on requirements for basemaps
    • Collaborate with product marketing on the go-to-market strategy, customer success stories, product positioning, key benefits, and target customers
    • Coordinate with internal teams including business development, software development, and market research to maintain product vision, strategy, and roadmap and ensure that implementation of basemaps across the ArcGIS system are consistent and match expectations of our users
    • Define, track, and analyze key product usage, adoption, and performance metrics to provide strategic recommendations
    • Recommend third-party data and software relationships to support market and product needs and support the product business management team to establish agreements
    • Support trade shows such as the Esri Partner Conference, Esri Dev & Tech Summit, and the Esri User Conference

    Requirements
    • 5+ years of experience in product management, product ownership, or similar capacity with a strong focus on building market-driven products
    • Professional experience with spatial and location-based data and its use cases
    • Strong communication skills with an ability to discuss technical concepts with product development teams while also being able to discuss and explain to executives and other non-technical personnel
    • Skilled in identifying market opportunities, communicating product value, and working cross-functionally with various teams and stakeholders
    • Ability to travel 10%-20% of the time to customer sites, conferences, trade shows, and other strategic meetings and events
    • Bachelor's degree in geography, computer science, engineering, or related field

    Recommended Qualifications
    • Experience with ArcGIS products and capabilities
    • Understanding of the ArcGIS technology stack and how ready-to-use spatial and location-based data products and services work within it
    • Experience and certifications with the Pragmatic Marketing Framework

    $118,976-$194,688 USD
