    Job Purpose
    The Quality Engineer performs activities that ensure customer contractual compliance, continual quality improvements to products, services, and systems; and corporate compliance to ISO9001/AS9100. Activities are focused around assembling, analyzing and monitoring data for trends, events, and opportunities.
    Essential Duties and Responsibilities
    Technical unbiased voice to and from the customer regarding Quality matters and expectations
    Responsible for FAI, customer and government source inspections
    Creating product and process quality plans
    Determines the controls on production devices directly affecting the quality of the product
    Review changes to the product, processes and materials
    Reviews Drawings (that include GD&T) and process instructions for accuracy, risk and completeness
    Assist/resolve Quality in-process issues
    Lead and/or facilitate the resolution of quality issues utilizing the 7 QC tools
    Monitors product/process performance for trends in efforts to prevent the generation of defective material or opportunities for improvement
    Supports product development
    Administers internal and external quality and or process audits
    Communicates with external providers to provide a clear understanding of the quality expectations
    Qualifications
    Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field
    Familiar with ISO9001 Quality Management System standard (AS9100 is a plus)
    Adept with standard measuring equipment.
    Working knowledge of statistical process control techniques.
    Working knowledge of 7 QC tools
    Experienced in modern RCCA (root cause/corrective action) techniques.
    Excellent communication skills
    Basic computer skills using Microsoft Office
