    Job Purpose

    The Electro-Mechanical Assembler is responsible for assembling components of EnerSys' product family as part of the manufacturing process.  This role will perform the assembly activity in accordance with assembly drawings, internal guidelines and specifications, and standard workmanship recommendations.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities
    • Assemble and interconnect final assemblies and subassemblies using work instructions, drawings and schematics
    • Inspect own work and inspect work of others to ensure the reduction of defects and enhanced product quality
    • Ability to identify differences in electronic or mechanical components
    • Ability to work proficiently in multiple assembly areas
    • Demonstrated mechanical and electrical aptitude
    • Demonstrated ability to do crimping
    • Participate in cross-training of processes as assigned
    • Read and interpret bills of materials
    • Read and interpret schematics and assembly drawings
    • Record accurate production and traceability information as required
    Qualifications

    Required

    • 1-2 years of experience in a related role
    • Wiring and crimping experience
    • Ability to follow wiring schematics
    • Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings

    General Job Requirements

    • Must be able to frequently bend, twist, reach, stoop, kneel or crouch
    • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
    • Employees must always wear personal protective equipment and in the proper manner
    • This position requires working in a plant/warehouse environment
    • Expect varying working conditions
    • Must be able and willing to working varying schedules which may include weekends
    • Must be able to lift 25 pounds/11.5 kilos on occasions
