    Eaton's Corporate Sector division is currently seeking a Lead IT Ignition Full Stack Engineer. The expected annual salary range for this role is $97000 - $143000 a year.

    What you'll do:
    Job Summary
    The Lead Analyst - IT for Digital Manufacturing is responsible for leading solution design, technical delivery, and lifecycle support for enterprise Manufacturing Execution and SCADA solutions built on the Ignition platform. This role acts as the technical lead for strategically aligned digital manufacturing initiatives, ensuring scalable architecture, secure integration patterns, reusable standards, and high-quality delivery across project, release, and run support activities.
    This Ignition technical Lead Analyst will be part of the Manufacturing Core team supporting enterprise-wide MES/SCADA capabilities including visualization, data collection, alarming, historian, reporting, device connectivity, and application standardization.
    The position is responsible for gathering user requirements, defining system functionality, designing solution architecture, and developing applications using Ignition Perspective, Vision, gateway services, scripting, and integrations with enterprise and plant systems such as ERP, quality, maintenance, historians, and shop floor equipment. This position also requires the ability to understand network segmentation, OT/IT cybersecurity constraints, and deployment considerations across office and shop floor environments.
    The person will contribute across three main activity areas: support (run), project delivery, and release management. Main contributions are expected on project and release activities, while also providing technical oversight for production incidents, performance improvements, and root cause resolution.
    In addition to deep Ignition knowledge, the candidate should demonstrate strong development and integration capability across Python/Jython scripting, SQL, web technologies, APIs, and industrial communication standards, along with experience in discrete manufacturing environments.
    Job Responsibilities
    As our Ignition technical specialist, you will be in charge of your functional scope to :
    - Experience in multiple Ignition implementations as a Lead Analyst
    - Define, develop, build, and configure solutions that implement user stories
    - Define, develop and execute agile work plans for iterative and incremental product delivery
    - Ensure that solutions delivered by the team meet technical requirements, non-functional requirements, and enterprise technology standards.
    - Continuously integrate and deploy solutions (with support of DevOps and service teams)
    - Test software to ensure responsiveness and performance. Work with test teams to ensure adequate and appropriate test case coverage; investigate and fix bugs; create automated test scripts.
    - Lead the development of prototype designs for a product using a wide range of techniques
    - Participate in requirements analysis workshops, solution design, Fit Gap Analysis for Ignition implementation
    - Good functional knowledge in manufacturing domain
    - Good experience in customizing the solution using Ignition out of the box user controls, business components etc.
    - Good experience in implementing business logic using Ignition platform
    - Technical Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Ignition applications.
    - Drives the technical delivery of solutions from initiation through development, validation, go-live and user adoption.
    - Author high quality, unit tested code in an iterative manner
    - Document solutions by using flowcharts, diagrams, code comments, code snippets, and performance instruments. Guide others on the team in documenting their code.
    - Recommend software tools to management and architecture teams
    Qualifications:
    Basic (required) Qualifciations:
    • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
    • Minimum twelve (12) years in IT
    • Minimum six (6) years experience in Ignition manufacturing Solution and development background with a proven track record of shipping high quality products
    • No relocation is offered for this position. All candidates must currently reside within 50 miles of Houston,TX.
    • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which may be subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
    • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship both now and in the future

    Preferred Qualifications:
    - Ignition platform expertise: Strong hands-on experience in Inductive Automation Ignition 8.1 or above, including Perspective, Vision, Designer, Gateway configuration, Tag architecture, UDTs, Alarming, Historian, Reporting, Transaction Groups, SFC, and Security
    - Scripting and development: Python/Jython scripting, SQL, JavaScript, HTML/CSS fundamentals, expression bindings, named queries, and reusable component design
    - Database expertise: Microsoft SQL Server and/or PostgreSQL with strong skills in schema understanding, query optimization, stored procedures, indexing, and performance tuning
    - Industrial connectivity: OPC UA, MQTT, Modbus, Ethernet/IP, and general understanding of PLC/SCADA communication and device integration patterns
    - Integration skills: REST APIs, SOAP/web services, JSON/XML, file-based interfaces, message handling, and enterprise application integration with ERP/MES/QMS/WMS/CMMS systems
    - Architecture and deployment: Multi-site Ignition architecture, gateway network configuration, redundancy concepts, backup/restore, environment strategy, and deployment standards
    - DevOps and software engineering: Git/version control, CI/CD concepts, release management, code review, test automation, defect management, and secure development practices
    - Infrastructure understanding: Windows Server administration basics, Linux familiarity, networking fundamentals, certificates, IIS/reverse proxy concepts, and virtualization/cloud awareness
    - Cybersecurity knowledge: Role-based access, authentication/SSO concepts, least privilege, network segmentation, certificate management, patching coordination, and secure remote access considerations for OT/IT environments
    - Manufacturing domain knowledge: Production execution, OEE, downtime, traceability, quality, warehouse, batch/process visibility, Andon, electronic work instructions, and plant KPI dashboards
    - Strong understanding of software design principles, supportability, scalability, and performance optimization for enterprise-grade manufacturing applications
    - Advanced working knowledge of Agile, Scrum, or Kanban delivery models
    Soft Skills:
    - Advanced verbal and written communication skills including the ability to explain and present technical concepts to a diverse set of audiences
    - Comfortable working directly with both technical and non-technical audiences
    - Good judgment, time management, and decision-making skills
    - Ability to work colaboratively on a technical team
    - Experience working with and guiding diverse, global cultures, organizations and teams
