    Job description

    Job: Shipping/Receiving Coordinator
    Pay: 19.25 to 21.25 per hour
    Location: Taneytown, MD
    Shift: Monday to Friday - 7:30AM to 4:30PM

    As a Shipping and Receiving Coordinator at Curaleaf, you are a highly organized, detail-driven professional with a strong background in logistics and inventory management. You excel at juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that all shipping and receiving operations run smoothly and efficiently. Your strong communication skills and proactive approach make you a trusted collaborator who can work seamlessly across teams to ensure compliance, accuracy, and timeliness.

    As a Shipping and Receiving Coordinator, you thrive on tackling challenges, managing inventory with precision, and ensuring the safe, secure, and compliant delivery of products.

     What You'll Do:

    • Set and manage the shipping calendar, ensuring all deliveries and transfers are scheduled accurately.
    • Prepare and email manifests and required documents to regulatory bodies and ensure compliance with state laws.
    • Schedule state testing deliveries, monitor home delivery routes, and manage driver teams to ensure safe and timely product transit.
    • Maintain control of inventory during preparation and transit, ensuring accurate records in the seed-to-sale system.
    • Work closely with the inventory manager, dispensary teams, and security transportation department to ensure smooth operations.
    • Audit returns, track non-conforming products, and generate operational data for above-site reporting.
    • Address shipping and tracking issues promptly, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions.
    • Ensure the receiving area meets compliance standards and remains clean and organized.

     What You'll Bring:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics role.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and freight logistics programs.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external teams.
    • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
    • A diligent approach to accuracy, compliance, and organization in all tasks.
    • A proactive mindset with a strong sense of urgency and the ability to analyze and resolve challenges.

     Even Better If:

    • You have experience in the cannabis industry or familiarity with seed-to-sale tracking systems.
    • You have demonstrated ability to develop SOPs and work instructions.
    • You have experience scheduling and managing delivery drivers.
    • You have a track record of successfully implementing process improvements in a logistics role.

     Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted on a consistent basis throughout the assigned shift
    • Ability to stand for long periods of time
    • Ability to occasionally climb ladders and crawl under low spaces
    • Ability to lift and reach with arms above shoulder heigh for extended periods of time
    • Ability to work in an environment that is exposed to plant materials and strong odors
