    Senior Fixed Asset & Lease Accounting Analyst

    Location Plano, TX | Onsite


    COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE

    • $65.00 - $72.00 per hour (Based on experience)

    • Monday–Friday, standard business hours

    • Contract - 1 year with possible extension


    ROLE IMPACT

    The Senior Fixed Asset & Lease Accounting Analyst ensures accurate accounting, compliance, and reporting for fixed assets and leased assets in accordance with GAAP. This individual contributor role drives financial integrity through precise asset tracking, capitalization, depreciation, and reporting processes. Success in this role is defined by audit-ready documentation, clean financial close cycles, and continuous process improvements within the SAP ERP environment.


    Responsibilities

    • Maintain and update the fixed asset register, ensuring accuracy of asset master data, releases, transfers, disposals, and depreciation schedules

    • Execute monthly and quarterly close activities including journal entries, reconciliations, financial reporting, and flux (variance) analysis for leadership

    • Administer lease accounting and leased asset records in compliance with GAAP and company capitalization policies

    • Coordinate asset confirmations, internal and external audit requests, and cross-functional collaboration with finance, procurement, IT, and operations

    • Drive process improvements within fixed asset and lease accounting workflows using SAP ERP


    Requirements

    • Active CPA certification required.

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.

    • At least 3 years of hands-on operational fixed-asset accounting experience involving physical property, plant, equipment, or corporate assets.

    • Demonstrated ownership of the fixed-asset lifecycle, including acquisitions, capitalization, transfers, disposals, depreciation, reconciliations, journal entries, and period-end close.

    • Hands-on SAP Asset Accounting experience, preferably SAP FI-AA.

    • Previous public accounting experience.

    • Strong knowledge of GAAP, capitalization policies, audit support, and internal controls.

    • Ability to work onsite in Plano five days per week.


    Preferred Skills

    • Experience in the automotive industry

    • Big 4 public accounting background

    • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
