• $18/hour
• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM during training; Permanent schedule: 9:00 AM-5:30 PM
• W2, Temp to perm
• Start date: ASAP
ROLE IMPACT
The Attendance and Payments Specialist supports working families by ensuring accurate attendance tracking and timely child care provider payments within the Child Care Assistance program. This role directly impacts access to quality early childhood education by maintaining compliance with state guidelines, resolving payment discrepancies, and delivering responsive customer service to parents and providers across Dallas, Jefferson, Hardin, and Orange counties.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist customers via phone, email, and in person with inquiries on attendance, payments, and program compliance
• Review and reconcile child care attendance submitted by parents and providers
• Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies using internal case management and state systems
• Document and escalate noncompliance or excessive absence cases; initiate terminations when necessary
• Provide technical guidance on attendance tracking tools and procedures
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• 2+ years recent data entry or customer service experience
• High School Diploma or GED (some college preferred)
• Bilingual in Spanish (required)
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and standard office hardware
• In-person interview required
